star BOM : block #3

I had a good day in the studio yesterday! I did my 3rd BOM star block:

Three UFO Churn Dash blocks (please dont' ask me how OLD these are! ...they are OLD!)
here is a close up of one of the blocks. Nice chunky churn dash!

This is the strip quilt I showed blocks for a couple of weeks ago. Here is the finished top.
And a close up. I have not decided if I will put a border on this. I think not. I toyed with the idea of making this 3 blocks (their block is 4 of the small ones counted as one block) wide and long, but then its on the small side. I think I will stay with it at this size. Babies only GROW right? Any ideas? I'm not real sure about the measurements. I will check that and post it in the morning. It was nice to be in there awhile and get something DONE!

I had a hard time watching my team...everytime I turned the channel, the OTHER team got a homerun! I ended up watching the Murder She Wrote marathon...I finally turned back to it as Stephen Drew hit for the cycle! WOW! (for all you non-baseball people, that means he hit a single, double, triple AND homerun in the same game-it happens VERY rarely) And on top of THAT, another player hit for the cycle yesterday too: having TWO cycles on one day has not happened since 1920!

And the other cycle was for My team - hooray for Adrian Beltre! One of a very few high moments in a fantastically horrible season.

I really like the light blue background.

Cute blocks and love the quilt! I would suggest putting the dark fabric as a small border to set it off. Any size quilt works for a baby. I know I have a 50x50 and 60x60 that I put on the floor for my 7 month old to play on.. but also use the little ones 40x60 too. Smaller work good in car seats and strollers.
