I'm still here!

:::tap tap tap:: Is this thing ON? I have been reading blogs FAITHFULLY, but never seem to get to post on MINE. SO busy. 4 out of town soccer trips in 6 weeks (and one of the weekends off? Easter)
Sad days in lives that touch ours. You don't realize how much things that are not YOUR life, affect your life. I"m not here to rain on  your day, just to encourage you to hug your loved ones and friends. Tell them EVERY chance you get what they mean to you and that you love them. 'enuf said.

TA DA! Here she is! my new Innova (as yet unnamed...altho we are GREAT friends already!)
Here she is just after arrival. I think that is the 1st practice piece (bound for dog bed heaven!)
on the right.

and with a QOV loaded. Last practice before the real work begins!
I had picked up 3 of these panels at a discount fabric store.
Not sure why except I found matching fabric for the back.
The 1st one I just meandered; getting to know the machine, how thread, wind a bobbin,
where the start and stop button is  (!), etc.
2nd one I did light custom on. Each block was loosely outline stitched and
a different background fill. If I liked a fill, I repeated it if that fabric
was repeated. One I didnt' like, so I didn't do that fill again.
Such a cute panel! Wish I had bought more...

 Just curls
this fill is hard to see. I just followed the honey comb
design. You can see that better in the worm below.

  flowing water

loopies
I was at a loss. Not sure where I saw this or if I thought it up

close up...looks like wall paper to me!
just vertical lines with little squiggles in it. I didn't even mark the
vertical lines
continuous leafy border.
Here is the same background fill as above. I did better on this one!
Love that worm!
The last panel I used a pantograph:
Labybrinth by Jody Beamish
I historically have more trouble with pantos and that is why I did it last.
Some can just panto right off the bat, but I need better control of the
machine to follow someone ELSE's line.
Just me!
Lots of pictures so you know I have not been eating bon bons!
too bad I could not take the frame with me when I travel
with the soccer team! I would get lots more done. Heheheh
Thanks to Jill and Julie-No Blog for spurring me to post.
Jill is having HER new frame delivered TODAY!~
(can you say 'hard to get work  done at work knowing
what is waiting at home'??)
