scrappy blue saturday or "a whole day in the studio'!
SO nice..no place to go. The house is warm...the dogs are happy. I only made breakfast and dinner. And I spent 95% of my day in the studio! LOVELY!
I am participating in a Rainbow Scrap Challenge...so stash diving I went! I decided to try the Disappearing Pinwheel from Missouri Star Quilt Company. The Link is to You Tube. There are 2 tutorials on this ...both are made the same way, but colors turned to make a different block. I used the 1st one:

This fabric used to be a shower curtain I made for the guest room. That room now houses
Sports Guy..and ..well... he was not enamored with
a BEACH theme! I had fun making this block..so I made two!
While I was organinzing a bit, I came across three strippy blocks ready for their
snowball corners. I 'snowballed' them..and one counts for this month as its BLUE!
I am happy to report that I have enough of these to make a quilt! I guess I was doing a Rainbow Scrap quilt last year and didn't even know it...
I will start piecing that as soon as I have pieced THIS:
into a top.
Blueberries in the Park has all its blocks made as of today.
I am happy with its layout and will start putting the blocks together tonight.
I get a bit of exercise as the blocks are on a design wall in a different room
than my sewing machine. I have to walk back and forth to get the blocks!
I have some extra blueberry strips so I will put on my thinking cap about a border.
I need to border this pretty quickly as all the edges are bias.
Thanks for visiting!
