Design wall Monday Jan 16, 2012

I have decided to enter this wall hanging in our AZ Quilters Guild show

in March. I'm working on the center now. How about an opinion? I know I'm going to do a star to

echo the big star, but I cannot decide on the color.

Do you like the chrome yellow (same as out side round of the star)?

Or do you like the dark orange (same as 2nd round just inside the

chrome yellow?

I would appreciate your opinion!

Without hesitation, the chrome yellow..it makes the whole design pop!

I like the coloration in the top photo. It gives depth to the star.

This quilt is absolutely beautiful. Yellow, definitely - I like the way it brings the outer ring inside. The overall colour looks darker in the second picture though, so it's hard to tell.

HI Beth!
while I like the yellow center and it does indeed "pop" and bring together the yellow outer star, however I only see the hot yellow colors. In the second photo there seems to be a progression of colors. That being said.....I lean more toward the cooler colors than the warm ones!

Before I looked at the 2nd photo, I thought, "I'd like to see that 2nd orange color in the center" LOL! I like the 2nd one better and so does my artist husband. LOVELY quilt!

Well, yes, I didn't realize your star pattern was the same as my Row Robin! And I just noticed the title of your blog: my good friend's CA license plate reads BZ QLTR
